Service Description
A treadmill run lactate profile test is a performance assessment that measures how your body responds to progressively increasing running intensity by analysing blood lactate levels at controlled intervals. During the test, you complete structured stages on the treadmill while small earlobe or fingertip samples are taken to track lactate accumulation. By the end of the session, you will have: - your fat mass, - your lactate threshold (the top of Zone 2), - your lactate turn point (a physiological equivalent to functional threshold pace), and - your maximum aerobic speed. You’ll receive a clear explanation of how each physiological marker relates to the others, along with personalised guidance on how to structure your training to reach your goals. Using your lactate profile and measured fat mass, we can also estimate how much carbohydrate your body requires at any given running intensity, which supports smarter pacing, fuelling, and race strategy. This test gives you truly accurate training zones and a deeper understanding of your running physiology, helping you train more effectively, improve performance, and confidently target your upcoming events.
