This isn’t your typical swim. Covering 3km in total, with the tide, is around 1500m of open water swimming to your stroke. The swim starts at the Combe Cellers pub jetty in Combeinteignhead and along the stunning stretch of the Teign river past some secret beaches, attractive boat houses then under the Shaldon bridge to Shaldon beach. You are constantly surrounded by beautiful views, this route gives you a fresh perspective of the landscape - one that few get to experience from the water in this way.
To take part, you’ll need to be comfortable swimming in open water and able to swim 1500m front crawl. But don’t worry about speed - this is all about the experience. You can go at your own pace, and if you need a break, you’re welcome to stop and float while a member of our safety team stays right by your side.
