Around the Orestone Adventure Swim

Challenge yourself, whilst enjoying wonderful scenery, with the knowledge that you have an experienced team by your side - every stroke of the way!

There is a pay-and-display car park at the end of the beach, about a 10-minute walk: ///spring.point.achieving. The swim heads out through the Gut, anticlockwise around the Ore Stone and back past Thatcher Rock on the other side.

It's roughly 6km, but very easy to swim further as the currents can be strong and as the distances are so far its easy to drift off-course. I suggest preparing for 8k. This swim is for strong, experienced swimmers. Speed is helpful but not essential with proper planning.
