The Open Water Swimathon is a charity event. The idea is two-fold: 1. to give you, open water swimmers and triathletes, the opportunity to challenge yourself to swim a distance or pace in the sea. 2. to raise some funds for charity! In 2025 we will be setting out a 500m square course in the sea, just to the left of the pier when looking out to sea at Teignmouth beach. Organising everyone and safety cover. Starting at 1830 on 9th August 2025. You can choose your distance (in multiples of 500m), from 0.5 to 5km. You do the counting and we do the timing and prize draw - note that you must be 13 to enter and under-18s are limited to 1500m (three laps) due to British Triathlon competition rules. You have two hours to complete your swim. Don't worry though, you can change the distance on the day either before or during, and still be a completer!
