Ness Cove to Maidencombe

The NESS COVE to MAIDENCOMBE SWIM ADVENTURE is a classic.  It is a really straightforward swim, straight along the feet of the red sandstone cliffs, passing some little secret coves and beaches only accessible by water.

We meet you in the pay and display carpark of Café Ode, above Ness Cove.  We all walk down, through the smuggler's tunnel, onto the beach.  We save a small amount of space onboard for essentials such as flip-flops and warm tops and drinks.  Before you get in to swim we will provide a short safety briefing and route plan.

The swim heads out of the boat access lane which is marked with yellow buoys.  At the furthest yellow buoy, we set a heading on the first grassy field, this is right above Maidencombe beach.  The swim is straightforward.  Maidencombe has really hidden away and you can’t see it until you are literally there.  However, as you approach you will see two yellow buoys that mark the approach to the beach.

After arriving at the beach, all swimmers will be offered a warm drink before we take the boats back to the Ness where the adventure began.
